What’s the big f’in deal, huh? Families go out for a fancy dinner every damn night, and that’s the perfect opportunity to handle some business, you know what I’m sayin’? Discussing our D&D – differences and smoothing out any friggin’ difficulties. And now the cops got a problem with that?
Let me tell ya, this Family’s got its fair share of differences and difficulties. Bonanno’s causing a ruckus with that “Banana War,” Tommy Lucchese ain’t doin’ too hot health-wise, and they got Vito locked up down in Atlanta, tryin’ to show he’s still the boss. But you can’t run the show from behind bars, that shit don’t fly. And to top it off, they got Kayo Konigsberg, the top loan shark, on trial, and the witnesses are mysteriously droppin’ dead. The pigs wanna know if we’re involved? Like we’d ever spill the beans to those bastards, forgetaboutit.
So, picture this scene: down at a secret table in the basement, you got Carlo Gambano, his right-hand man Annello Dellecroce, and Joe N. Gallo, the wise guy who ain’t related to Crazy Joe Gallo. Representin’ the Genovese family, you got Tommy Ryan, the actin’ boss, Mike Miranda (or maybe he’s the actin’ boss?), capo Fat Dom, and Tony the Sheik. And who’s holdin’ it down for the Colombo family? Joe Colombo himself. We even got mob boss Santa Trafficante all the way from Florida and family boss Carlos Marcello from the Big Easy, rollin’ deep with his brother Joseph Marcello and Frank Gagliano, plus Anthony Corallo.
Can’t these thirteen well-respected guys just kick back, enjoy a nice Italian meal without any worries? Ain’t nothin’ shady ’bout that.
But them pigs, they thought some shady shit was goin’ down. They stormed the joint, busted these sharp-dressed gentlemen, and even snatched up the Tallerico brothers, the owners of this joint.
They held the Family men on a hefty $100,000 bond, but you know what happened next? They all got released the next mornin’, and then… crickets. No prosecutions, no trial dates, stugots.
It just goes to show there ain’t nothin’ wrong with havin’ a fancy dinner with your Family. We’re just a bunch of stand-up guys, enjoyin’ good food and good company. That’s how we roll.
